One of the most commonly asked questions we receive is, When do I begin to train my new Puppy?
Well, the answer to that one is simple, as soon as you bring your puppy home.
There are so many important aspects of developing a new puppy to be a Calm & Balanced member of the family;
*Introducing your new puppy to the Family
*Establishing Manners, Rule’s & Boundaries
*Socialisation & Habituation training
*Crate training and many more…
As trainers we talk about the “Critical Development Period”, which basically means the optimum period of time in which your puppy has the ability to learn about and accept new things such as;
*New people, dogs & other animals
*Sounds, objects & new environments and so on.
This Critical Development Period starts to taper off around 14 weeks of age, so the more we can teach you early on, the better chance you have of having a Calm & Balanced member of the family in the future.
